About

I've been making custom resin replicas of the masks for Lego's Bionicle line since 2015. My fascination with the toy line was always rooted in the design - there wasn't a single thing quite like it anywhere! My interest has come and gone over the years, but it was really revived in 2015 when the second generation of sets were briefly released. There was one thing that always bugged me, though...

The biggest expression of individuality within the system was the masks. They're really important, cause they're your characters' faces... unless you're making a completely custom head for your figure, anyway. In the later years of the line, most masks were only ever released in one colorway, making it difficult for your creations to stand out among all the others out there, and limiting your color scheme choices dramatically. To make matters worse, there WERE variants for some masks, but they could be very hard to find! Seeing the rare exclusives, misprints, and prototype parts in the hands of fortunate people got me thinking: why couldn't I make these myself?

With this question in mind, I began stumbling my way into resin casting and developed the skills I have now. I'm very proud to have made whatever contribution I have to the custom part making scene for this small community, and am excited for the future ahead.
